BRIDGEPORT E-Z Series I machine tool is a versatile and efficient CNC milling machine designed for production drilling and milling. Its rigid construction and low-maintenance design make it ideal for a wide variety of applications. E-Z Series I features a rebuilt steel body and column with hardened and ground ways for improved accuracy and machine life. It is equipped with a 9.2" quill for drilling and a variable speed spindle to handle a variety of machining tasks. The work envelop of the machine is up to 1566x 349 x 254mm and the spindle can turn speeds of one to 4500 rpm. BRIDGEPORT E-Z Series I comes with a two-axis Contouring/Drilling CNC Control with RS232 port for communicating with other devices. It is conveniently located on the front panel, providing easy access and error proof operation. A three-axis CNC control can also be added for contouring and leadscrew compensation. E-Z Series I is equipped with a built-in power drawbar for easy tool-changing at the touch of a button. It also has manual and power z-axis feeds for efficient milling operations and automatic quill feeds for drilling. The unique BRIDGEPORT E-Z Series I is designed with an oversized 34"x31"x64" base for superior stability and rigidity. This heavy base assures machining accuracy and increases rigidity in the Z-axis. The machine has a three-horsepower variable speed spindle motor, allowing speeds of one-fourth of an inch per minute to 4500 rpm at full cutting load. Its infinitely variable three-speed belt drive gives the machine precise tool adjustment during operation for cuts of perfect adequacy. E-Z Series I is equipped with automatic table lubrication for consistent cutting depth and increased machine life. It also has a cooling system and an adjustable coolant flow control valve to ensure efficient cooling during high-speed machining operations. BRIDGEPORT E-Z Series I comes with a wide range of optional accessories, such as linear scales, DRO's, safety systems and more. With its rigid construction, accurate operation, powerful spindle and many other features, E-Z Series I is an ideal choice for a wide variety of production drilling and milling applications.
