CNC KMD 3000 is a modular, multi-tasking machine tool, enabling complex 3 axis machining operations in milling, drilling, tapping, boring, and reaming. It has a generous working envelope with a large machining area of X/Y/Z 750/450/450 mm. It has a BT30 spindle and 24-tool linear type tool changer with a maximum tool diameter of 80mm and maximum tool weight of 8 kg. KMD 3000 uses dual motors for high speed and low vibration operation which is powered by a 5kW HSD spindle motor, offering spindle speeds up to 8,000 RPM. The spindle is supported by a rigidly-oriented Y-axis structure, which ensures accurate cutting through advanced kinematic performance. It has a 30 m/min rapid traverse speed, provides fast and smooth motion and a 40 m/min cutting speed for higher productivity. An optional bar feeder is available to maximize efficiency when working with long parts. It is equipped with CNCKS controllers with advanced auto-tuning technology for easy operation, and can be connected to a remote host or to a dedicated PC. It also comes with a conversational programming feature making machining time faster and easier. Most importantly, CNC KMD 3000 has an advanced automation unit for integrating into a high-speed production system. It is designed to be versatile and suitable for use in medium-to-high production shops requiring a combination of multi-tasking capabilities, low vibration, high speed, and precision. KMD 3000 is engineered for maximum precision and accuracy. It is equipped with advanced scales for precise axis positioning, and a full digital control system for enhanced control accuracy.
