KITAMURA HX-500i is a high-performance horizontal machining center designed for complete unattended operation. It features a powerful spindle that runs at up to 24,000 RPM, allowing for accurate and efficient machining of almost any material. To minimize thermal displacement of the spindle, HX-500i is equipped with an innovative cooling system, which can be adjusted to match the cutting conditions for a range of material types and cutting tasks. KITAMURA HX-500i is equipped with a 3-axes linear motor table, resulting in fast accelerations of up to 2 G and highly repeatable table movements. The X-, Y- and Z-axes have a maximum travel of 500 x 450 x 500 mm, and a high stroke rate of up to 24 m/min. With a max table loading capacity of 750 kg and a rapid feedrate of up to 30 m/min, HX-500i can efficiently handle large-scale parts and heavy machining operations. KITAMURA HX-500i is designed to be highly automated with an automatic tool changer (ATC) capacity of up to 60 tools, and an optional full-size pallet changer with indirect pallet storage and a downtime of only 2.7 sec. HX-500i has an optional dry-run capability, which allows for tool grinding without the need for cutting oil. KITAMURA HX-500i is equipped with a variety of advanced technological features for maximum productivity. These include an array of advanced sensors and safety systems, and AI-based predictive maintenance analysis software. The machine also has a touch-screen control interface that offers additional user-friendly functionality. HX-500i is equipped with a Mitsubishi control unit, and supports several conversational programming languages.
