TRAUB TNM 42 is equipped with a TRAUB TX-8L, 4-axis CNC controller with a comprehensive range of programming and operator functions on a 15" LCD color screen. The machine tool comes with integrated sign-off, troubleshooting, and maintenance features with a wide range of custom programming, TNM 42 has two opposing synchronized spindles, powered by two 25 HP direct driven motors that deliver superior performance and rigidity to achieve the highest levels of cutting accuracy. The centrally located main spindle comes with an integrated universal live tooling turret that has 8 comfortably running torque tools. This turret is equipped with Driven tools, synchronous tapping, and external coolant supply for efficient chip evacuation. The slide on the secondary spindle is equipped with 12 tool interfaces for maximum versatility, with 10 being driven and 2 stationary. The hydraulic tool release system helps streamline tool changes. TRAUB TNM 42 comes with an integrated turret-mounted servo-driven robot that is able to handle up to 36 tools with quick-change tool holders and a flexible parts bin. The robot can be programmed to pick, rotate, identify, and drop parts or perform other operations as necessary.
