TABAI VAC-300 is a high-temperature oven or furnace, ideally suited for processing a wide variety of materials. The system is comprised of a standard oven, or furnace, chamber and a range of versatile options. The furnace can accommodate many different applications and is ideal for thermal vacuum or inert atmosphere processing. The exterior of VAC-300 is of a steel construction and is finished in a durable anti-corrosive black paint. It is complete with built-in storage areas for tools and accessories. The furnace has two main chamber assemblies, the heated chamber and the controller chamber. Within the heated chamber is a cylindrical quartz tube, in which the materials to be processed can be placed. The controller chamber contains the control mechanical system, which allows the user to accurately set the working temperature within the furnace chamber. It also contains the measurement and control instruments, such as the over-temperature limit controller. TABAI VAC-300 also has two main safety features built into the design. One is a thermal cut-off switch, located in the controller chamber, which is designed to automatically shut off the power supply to the furnace in case of any abnormal temperature in the chamber. The other is a bimetal thermocouple, located in the heated chamber, which can detect the temperature of the chamber, and act as a back-up in case of the thermal cut-off switch failing. For optimal performance, VAC-300 requires regular maintenance, including cleaning of the chamber interior, replacement of filter elements and replacement of the controller components. In addition, cooling water should be periodically changed, and the furnace should be properly grounded before operation to ensure the safety of users. With a working temperature range of up to 1,800°C and temperature uniformity of +/-5°C, TABAI VAC-300 provides a range of uses including drying processes, sintering of materials, glass melting and annealing, as well as other thermal treatments.
