RENA InWaClean is a wet station designed to provide automated, bench-top cleaning and removal of a wide range of particles, salts, and other dissolved materials from various samples. It is composed of a robotic arm that is controlled by a computer, which is connected to a pump for water and other liquids, as well as multiple apertures, inlets, and outlets. The robot arm is equipped with a mixing head, which is used to mix both the sample and the cleaning agent together to create a homogeneous solution. This solution is then aspirated through the apertures at the station, and this process is typically repeated multiple times. The water in the station is flushed continuously and renewal of the water and liquids is ensured by the recirculation system. Additionally, a thermal transfer system is employed in order to safely transfer particles and other contaminants from the sample to a collecting vessel. The collecting vessel is automatically emptied each time a cleaning cycle is completed; and all temperatures are constantly monitored to ensure optimal cleaning conditions. The automated process of the station allows for fast and accurate cleaning of samples and the entire process can be completed in under 10 minutes. Additionally, a range of sample mass capacities is supported, from a few millilitres to over 1 litre, and with a wide range of possible cleaning agents. InWaClean wet station supports a wide range of particle types and particles can be cleaned to a particle size of 0.5 microns. This high level of sample cleanliness is beneficial for a variety of applications, from food analysis to pharmaceutical development studies. Additionally, the station provides a greater degree of safety and containment than similar processes, as all of the toxic chemicals used can be safely managed through the automated process. Additionally, the station's operation is monitored and logged both before and during cleaning, and multiple settings can be adjusted to ensure that cleaning procedures are followed accurately. The station is also designed for ease of use and requires minimal maintenance, making it an ideal solution for many laboratory contexts.
