VARIAN / VEECO GEN II is an advanced molecular beam epitaxy (MBE) equipment designed to enable the study of deposition and growth of materials with atomic-level control. VEECO GEN II is the latest version of this system and has been designed to enable research on a variety of materials, including ferromagnetic materials, wide gap semiconductors, and transparent conductors. This unit was developed to allow the deposition of material in small quantities, down to the single atom level. VARIAN GEN II utilizes an ultra-high vacuum and inert gases to allow the deposition of material in ultra-high purity. The machine features a chamber heated to temperatures between 80 K and 2000 K and an advanced shutter tool to allow only the desired particles to be admitted into the deposition chamber. Additionally, GEN II includes a high-resolution flux control and temperature control asset. These features allow for precise control and monitoring of the deposition process. VARIAN / VEECO GEN II control model is designed to provide a user-friendly interface for the user. It includes a graphical user interface (GUI) to allow process recipes to be easily created and executed. The GUI also allows for easy viewing of the processing parameters and monitoring of the deposition in real-time. VEECO GEN II also includes many advanced features, such as the ability to deposit multiple layers in one cycle, leading to more efficient deposition processes. Finally, VARIAN GEN II is an advanced equipment meant to provide an ideal platform for scientists studying advance materials by allowing the growth of these materials in ultra-high purity and with atomic-level control. This system allows for precision control of the deposition process, leading to better materials and a greater understanding of the material properties. Additionally, the advanced features of the unit make it a useful tool for researchers, allowing them to experiment and observe deposition processes with greater accuracy and efficiency.
