BENDIX RMA Model 2 is an optical comparator featuring an 11" by 18" table and 6" episcopic optical head. It is designed to accurately measure distance, size, flatness, and other linear dimensions of a variety of components, flat forms, and round parts. Its design is a combination of a few mechanical and optical elements. The optical head consists of three powerful separating lenses, which magnify up to 80 times. The illuminated surface illuminates from within the optical head and can be adjusted with three separate magnification objectives that are illuminated by an internal light source. The ring-type night light located directly below the optical head ensures a precise and clear view of the components. Additionally, the optical head can be adjusted in the X-Y direction for precise measurement. The table surface consists of a precise scale square plate with three axes (X, Y, Z) of precise scale. Features of the scale plate are hardened steel grid and low stock side stop. The Y-axis of the scale plate features a special tab to provide precise positioning of parts on the scale plate. An additional mechanical digital readout indicator helps to minimize operator error. RMA Model 2 also features additional devices such as an FC-2 digital control system which controls the two axes parts loader and a small workpiece holder. The two axes parts loader is ideal for 30-45mm parts and is used for parts inspection and measurement. The small workpiece holder can hold pieces up to 3" in size.
