BACCINI / AMAT / APPLIED MATERIALS 35MW Solar Cell Line is a state-of-the-art production equipment designed to increase the rate of production for solar cells. This production line utilizes modern technologies and innovative designs to facilitate the formation of high-efficiency solar cells. The complete equipment includes a variety of components that work together to form powerful and efficient solar cells. The system starts with the substrate processing and handling unit, which prepares the substrate for the deposition chamber. During this stage, the substrates are prepared by stripping the UV protection layer, laser patterning, edge isolation, wet clean, and drying processes before entering the deposition chamber. Inside the deposition chamber, the cleansed substrate then transforms into a thin-film solar cell. During this process, the unit applies high frequency plasma, low frequency plasma, magnetron sputtering, and film resistive deposition. These processes helps to apply photovoltaic materials to the substrates, and transforms it into a thin film cell. After the deposition chamber, the solar cell then moves to the photolithography and passivation chambers. In the photolithography chamber, the cell passes under a scanner that uses a microscopic resolution of as little as 0.3 μm to create electrical contacts and interconnects. This equipment can also be used to create features such as laser scribing and laser contact openings, which further enhance cell performance. The final stage of the process is the passivation chamber. The solar cell is exposed to a high-power laser that creates a protective film over the cell. This laser treatment helps the cell retain more energy generated from the sun's rays and boosts the overall efficiency of the cell. The completed cell is then ready to be tested and shipped out for installation.
