ASM AD 830 is a fully-automatic die attaching machine designed for use in a variety of industries and applications. This machine is designed to automatically attach a die to a substrate such as a printed circuit board (PCB) or plastic housing. The machine is comprised of a series of components including a conveyor belt, a die squaring plate, a die positioning stage, a die vibrator, a die pick-up head, and a die attachment head. The conveyor belt automatically moves the substrate along the path of the equipment, providing support and keeping the die in place during the attaching process. Then the die squaring plate positions the die in the correct orientation and maintains its flatness as it moves through the system. Next, the die positioning stage orients the die in the correct position designated by the user. The die vibrator provides additional vibration to help keep the die in place and reduce the possibility of misalignments during the process. The die pick-up head will pick up the die to be attached, and transfer it to the die attachment head. The die attachment head is responsible for the actual die attachment process. This includes the use of heat, pressure, or ultrasonic energy to bond the die onto the substrate. Once the correct die is attached to the substrate, ASM AD830 automatically moves the newly attached die along the conveyor path for loading. This unit is also able to detect any errors or abnormalities during the attachment process, alerting the user of any potential issues. AD 830 guarantees a consistently high quality of die attachment and can handle a variety of shapes and sizes of dies depending on the user's needs. Additionally, the machine requires minimal maintenance and is capable of extended operation with low levels of downtime.
