AMAT / APPLIED MATERIALS Centura Super-E is an advanced 400mm semiconductor wafer processing reactor designed to provide high yields in production of microelectronic devices. This reactor has been developed in partnership with the world's leading semiconductor manufacturers and leading-edge universities to meet the relentless demand for ever-denser and more reliable integrated circuits. Utilizing state-of-the-art processes, the reactor is characterized by extreme etching uniformity, low defect count, and reduced voiding for improved corrosion resistance. AMAT Centura Super-E is a fully automated reactor, capable of handling up to four wafers simultaneously. Its advanced processes, designed with the most stringent requirements in mind, include but are not limited to: chemical mechanical polishing (CMP), reactive ion etching (RIE), and deep-ultraviolet (DUV) lithography. The all-in-one reactor is equipped with technologies such as conformable template etching (CTE) and precision mask registration (PMR) to enable the production of advanced, field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs). In addition, APPLIED MATERIALS CENTURA SUPER E reactor utilizes AMAT proprietary AMVantageTM software platform. This third-generation software suite enables users to develop production-level recipes and custom-tailored processes, while providing automated visual process control and rapid process analysis capabilities. The reactor also includes a Cluster Tool configuration, allowing users to connect the Centura to a system of other APPLIED MATERIALS processing tools for advanced etching operations. AMAT CENTURA SUPER E is also built with safety in mind. Its integrated spill containment systems and exhaust blowers provide a greater degree of protection from airborne and liquid contaminants, while superior noise reduction features keep noise to a minimum. On-board monitors allow for remote process control and monitoring of the Centura's operational state. Overall, Centura Super-E is designed to provide fast, reliable, and accurate semiconductor wafer processing.
