STANFORD RESEARCH SYSTEMS / SRS RGA 100 is an advanced residual gas analyzer developed for high resolution analyses in semiconductor and vacuum processing facilities. This device combines both a mass spectrometer and a turbo-pumped residual gas analyzer, allowing for the combined measurement of both total and partial pressure. The analyzer has a heating mechanism that allows it to measure volatile components such as oxygen and carbon dioxide, as well as low molecular weight hydrocarbons and water. Additionally, SRS RGA 100 includes a built in time-of-flight mass analyser that can provide high resolution measurements of trace gases. The analyzer also has a temperature range of -25 to +200 degrees Celsius and a pressure range from 10-7 to 0.1 torr. STANFORD RESEARCH SYSTEMS RGA100 utilizes a 4 x 450mm mid-region drift tube and an ion source, combined with an electron multiplier detector and an ion-mode selector. The mid-region drift tube is optimised to measure low levels of residual gases with an overall purpose of obtaining high accuracy, repeatable results. Additionally, SRS RGA100 is supplied with two flow controllers which enable the user to set the pressure and flow rate of the sample gas. The flow controllers also include a manual valve, allowing the user to further precisely control the sample gas pressure needs. RGA 100 also has a built in vacuum interface which permits remote operation of the device through the vacuum system. In addition, the device has a power- saving feature. When the Analyzer is not being used, the power consumption will automatically drop to a lower level until the user requests for data again. Furthermore, RGA100 is equipped with an on-board PC which allows for a user-friendly interface and displays data in a variety of formats, from simple graphs to detailed tabular information.
