RIGAKU Ultima IV is a X-ray diffraction equipment designed for small-molecule single-crystal analysis. This system is packed with features to further enhance its crystallographic capabilities. Ultima IV employs a goniometer to accurately determine the crystal dimensions in a partial-reflection experiment, allowing it to easily determine the laboratory crystalline lattice parameters. Additionally, a rotatable sample holder allows precise positioning of the sample for desired crystal orientation, enabling precise indexing of up to three reflection indices. To capture a clear reflection of a crystal lattice, RIGAKU Ultima IV uses a CCD detector, which is cooled and surrounded by multi-slit collimation to minimize unwanted X-ray background and increase signal-to-noise ratio of each recording. For the purposes of data collection, Ultima IV is capable of automated data collection using the fast, easy-to-operate Crystal Clear software. To reduce recording times, an auto-strategy feature can be used to pick the best data collection set up while the user can adjust parameters in real-time, as necessary. In addition to data collection, RIGAKU Ultima IV also includes advanced features to further enhance a researcher's crystallographic capabilities. For instance, Ultima IV integrates an indexing unit to optimize the data reduction and structure solution processes. Furthermore, the real-time mapping mode ensures high precision intensity and pattern quality to better analyze the crystal's structure and diffraction properties. For increased ease of use, RIGAKU Ultima IV also features a swing arm controller with an ergonomic design that is easily adjustable to meet any researcher's individual needs. Overall, Ultima IV is an advanced X-ray diffraction machine for small-molecule single-crystal analysis, packed with time-saving and user-friendly features for obtaining reliable data and faster analysis with superior accuracy.
