K&S 1419 is a bonding agent that is widely used in industrial applications. It is a single-component epoxy resin adhesive, which cures in the presence of air and humidity. The bonding agent is capable of withstanding extreme temperatures and has a medium-viscosity which allows it to be used on a variety of surfaces. It has excellent bonding properties, with a high ultimate Tensile, Peel and Shear Strength. This makes it an ideal choice for applications that require a strong, durable bond. 1419 has excellent gap-filling capabilities with a bond cushion of up to 0.5mm. It is designed for bonding dissimilar materials and substrates, such as metals, glass, and composites, and is suitable for use on many substrates and surfaces, including cast iron, aluminum, steel, magnesium, rubber, and many plastics. It adheres to surfaces without the need for stitching or clamping, and has a working time of up to 15 minutes. The cured resin offers superior resistance to ultra-violet radiation, water, oil, and chemicals, and is also resistant to vibration, shock, and temperature fluctuations. This makes it extremely versatile and suitable for use in a wide range of industrial applications. K&S 1419 can also be used to bond components that will be exposed to temperatures up to 204°C. The optimum temperature range for application of the bonding agent is from 5 - 40°C and a typical cure time at this temperature is 2 - 5 hours. The adhesive bonds hard and resists disbonding and has a dielectric strength of up to 600 volts per mil. 1419 is an ideal choice for many industrial applications where strength, durability, flexibility, and temperature resistance are required. Its superior bonding capabilities combine with excellent chemical and water resistance properties to create an adhesive that provides a strong and durable bond.
