K&S 8028 PPS is a plated polysulfide bonder designed for high performance bonding of plastic substrates such as polystyrene or polycarbonate. It enables fast, easy and reliable production workflows for the most challenging and demanding applications. This product has plenty of advantages when used for assembly and production applications, such as high adhesion strength, long term durability, and excellent thermal conductivity. K&S 8028PPS bonder contains polysulfide resin and a blend of catalysts and accelerators, supplying a low viscosity and low odor solution. This bonder is useful for bonding and sealing plastic substrates and components involving the use of a range of materials, such as polystyrene, polycarbonate, FEP, PET, and other thermoplastic substrates and composites. The product is composed of 2 parts, part (A) which is a polymerized chain extender, and part (B) which is a terpene resin. 8028 PPS can cure relatively quickly at room temperature or can be heat cured for better strength. For heat curing, temperatures of 120-160 °C and times ranging from 15 - 20 minutes can be used. The bonder also has excellent electrical insulation and surface conductivity, making it suitable for a variety of electrical components and applications. It also features excellent solvent, chemical, and aging resistance, making it an ideal choice for a variety of environmental conditions. 8028PPS can be applied in various ways, including brush, knife blade, roller coating, dipping, gluing and potting.
