NESLAB HX-150 is a recirculating chiller that utilizes a heat exchanger. This type of chiller is used to cool and heat a variety of processes in industrial and scientific applications. NESLAB HX 150 has a reservoir capacity of 152 L (50 gallons) and features up to 20 W/K of cooling capacity. The internal circulation pump is powered by a 3/4 HP motor and operates at a maximum flow rate of 340 L/min (90 GPM). The entire HX-150 chillers can provide consistent temperature ranges from -25°C to + 135°C (-13°F to +275°F). HX 150 chillers consist of a stainless steel heat exchange reservoir, a cooling-heating coil, a pump and motor, and a freezer/heat exchanger. The stainless steel reservoir has two ports for filling/emptying and a drain valve. The cooling-heating coil is composed of stainless steel tubing, mounted inside the reservoir and connected with the pump output. The coil transmits cooling-heating media from the pump to the heat exchange reservoir. This media is cooled or heated depending on the type of process. The included pump is a self-priming centrifugal pump, capable of pumping coolant efficiently and reliably. This pump operates at a maximum pressure of 2.1MPa (300 psi) and features a stainless steel shaft and impeller. The pump has an anti-cyclic temperature control that prevents the cooling-heating media from superheating and/or boiling. The freezer/heat exchanger unit is a corrosion-resistant stainless-steel construction and can be installed in a small area. NESLAB HX-150 also includes a digital controller that offers precise temperature control and displays process temperatures on the instrument panel. It has audible and visual alarms for when the temperature is over or under set limits. The control panel provides operational data and easy to use LED displays for temperature settings and readings. NESLAB HX 150 is designed for users with a wide range of cooling/heating needs. Its small size and efficient temperature control make it ideal for operations ranging from laboratory and research applications to larger-scale industrial processes.
