NESLAB Merlin M150 recirculating chiller uses a refrigerant-based thermal mass that is circulated and cooled by a compression system to enable the removal of heat from a given environment. The unit is designed for use in industrial, laboratory, and other scientific research applications. The unit features a large 16.3 litre refrigerant reservoir that is held in place with a strong stainless steel frame and encased in a rugged polyurethane foam insulated cabinet. The compressor is a high-efficiency rotary V-belt type drive featuring 2-Stage compression and oil-less bearings for sustained operation. The minimum and maximum working temperatures are 5 and 55 degrees Celsius. The chiller is equipped with a unique inductive secondary heat exchanger which is compatible with both standard tap water and ethylene glycol solutions. This design improves efficiency, reduces flow-resistant losses and extends component life. The design also ensures that liquids circulate in the same direction without mixing or exchanging fluids. The unit has an easy-to-read digital temperature display and a user-friendly controller that allows the user to set the temperature and flow rate according to their specifications. The unit also has an alarm and a safety-cutoff feature to alert the user in the event of abnormal conditions. The unit provides flexibility with its variable speed circulating pump which is capable of up to 400 litre per minute (LPM) maximum flow rate.
