SMC HRS012-A-20 is a recirculating, heat exchanger chiller ideal for a range of applications requiring cooling of liquids or other heat sources. It is composed of a closed-loop refrigerant circuit integrated into a hermetically sealed water tank and a fan condenser design to cool the refrigerant. This chiller incorporates a stainless steel plate-style heat exchanger to enable precision heat transfer between the refrigerant and the fluid to be cooled. It uses two stages of compression to achieve improved overall efficiency. The first stage uses a positive displacement piston compressor driven by an electronmagnetic motor to compress the refrigerant, which is then cooled by direct expansion valves down to a subcooled temperature in the second stage before reaching the evaporator. This allows the chiller to maintain a lower evaporator temperature, enabling the fluid to become much colder, increasing the effectiveness of cooling. HRS012-A-20 includes automatic self-diagnosis and an alarm to alert users to any faults in the system. It can also accommodate several control protocols to enable customised control and interface with other equipment. Digital communication is enabled via RJ45 port. Equipped with industrial-grade components, this chiller is designed to provide reliable performance in the toughest of industrial environments and can withstand temperatures of up to 65°C. It features a thermostat-controlled circulation pump to ensure precise temperature control. The fan condenser design is built with three-stage fan motors to reduce condensate temperature and minimise noise operation. Incorporating safety devices such as thermal overload relays and safety valve, SMC HRS012-A-20 chiller ensures safe operation and protection against potential damage or electrical faults. It uses R404A as its main refrigerant and comes with anti-corrosion epoxy-coated fan guards to ensure its longevity.
