Spectrum analyzer.
AGILENT / HP / HEWLETT-PACKARD / KEYSIGHT 3582A is an electronic test and measurement instrument designed for precision signal analysis. It is capable of capturing and characterizing high-frequency (up to 100 MHz) digital and analog signals with high resolution. The multi-function, frequency-dependent device includes a High Definition Oscilloscope, Arbitrary waveform Generator and Oscilloscope, Time Domain Reflectometer, Frequency Domain Reflectometer, and automated Calibration tool. The Oscilloscope provides up to 16-bit resolution and 80 MS/s sample rate, capturing complex waveforms with up to 30 millions of points, while the Arbitrary Waveform Generator (AWG) is able to generate waveforms up to 8M points with 10-Bit (±24Vpp) accuracy and jitter of less than 250 fs. The Time Domain Reflectometer (TDR) mode allows for measuring digital transmission lines up to 2 GHz with resolutions up to 0.1 nanosecond. The reflectometer is also able to measure remote impedances of various components such as Connectors, Resistors, Conductors, Coaxial lines and cables. The Frequency Domain Reflectometer (FDR) mode is capable of performing automatic measurements of electrical parameters including impedance, attenuation, phase delay and noise figure. It can also measure return loss with ±0.2 dB accuracy. The automated calibration tool (CALMAN) provides a complete calibration solution for HP 3582A, checking and validating instruments calibration against known standards. Software options are also available, including Line Analysis and Statistics tools for high-speed digital signal analysis and optional plug-ins such as Ibis Driver for 4 GHz broadband Transmission Line characterisation. Overall, AGILENT 3582A is a versatile and capable Test and measurement instrument providing accuracy and repeatability across a wide range of measuring frequencies and components for applications such as: sensor development, data acquisition, communication and networking, circuit design, quality control, and data analysis.
