AGILENT / HP / HEWLETT-PACKARD / KEYSIGHT 5200 is a powerful and versatile electronic test equipment designed for benchtop and maintenance applications. It is capable of testing analog and digital circuits, and can be used in a variety of engineering disciplines from repair and diagnosis to component design. HP 5200 is made up of several different modules, each with its own specific function: a function generator, transistor Curve Tracer, digital multi-meter, oscilloscope and logic analyzer. The frequency response and waveform generation of the function generator makes it an ideal device for assessing the performance of analog circuits. The frequency range is 4 Hz to 8.4 MHz, with 8-bit resolution. It also offers output ranges from 0.5 volts to 10 volts peak-to-peak and duty cycles from 2 percent to 98 percent. The user can create and store waveforms, such as basic sine, square, and triangle waves, as well as complex user-defined waveforms. AGILENT 5200 transistor Curve Tracer is capable of testing the gain, transconductance, saturation curves, and breakdown voltage of individual transistors. It measures the characteristics of npn and pnp transistors as well as FETs. The measurement range from 0.02 volts to 12 volts and from 0.1 milliamp to 300 milliamps. The digital multi-meter is a three-in-one multimeter, providing both DC and AC voltage and current measurements, as well as capacitance and resistance. The voltage measurement range is 0.25 volts to 600 volts, and can display readings in volts, microvolts, millivolts, and milliamps. The resistance measurement range is 0.1 ohm to 1,200,000 ohms, and capacitance is measured from 100 pF to 200,000 µF. KEYSIGHT 5200 oscilloscope is capable of measuring signal frequency and phase, pulse width and skew, along with the amplitudes and shapes of any periodic or non-periodic signals. The vertical sensitivity range is from 100 mV/div to 10 V/div with variable gain. The horizontal sensitivity range is 10 ns/div to 5 s/div. It also includes a variety of triggers, such as single shot, auto, or manual. The logic analyzer provides static and dynamic timing analyses of digital signals. The user has the ability to view raw data, bus waveforms, and signal timing of digital systems while the system is running. The probe input range is 5 volts-to-5 volts and the logic level resolution is 8, 16, or 32 bits. Overall, 5200 is a highly capable electronic test equipment that offers features beyond simply testing analog and digital circuits. With its wide range of modules, it can be used by technicians and engineers to diagnose, test, troubleshoot, and design electronic systems and products.
