AGILENT / HP / HEWLETT-PACKARD / KEYSIGHT 54118A is an advanced high-performance, single-channel, Arbitrary Waveform Generator (AWG) that provides pulse source and timing capabilities in one instrument. Designed for laboratory and production use, this single-channel signal generator can create signal waveforms with up to 40 MHz frequency and 14-bit resolution. It is compatible with other test equipment, including oscilloscopes, electronic analyzers, digital storage and dual-channel testing tools. HP 54118A AWG is capable of generating common waveforms such as sine, square, triangle, and cosine with different duty cycles, as well as user-defined arbitrary waveforms. It features a high-speed pulse generator for pulse widths up to 20 ns and delay times up to 4 us. It is also capable of generating complex impulses such as fast Fourier transform, swept sine-wave, multiple pulse/trigger complex, and more. The AWG has software-selectable signal amplitudes of up to 10 Vpp, DC offsets of up to 5 V, and a time base of up to 200 MHz. In addition, it has an optional expansion module that adds arbitrary waveform memory and sequence programming to the AWG, providing expanded capabilities for digital signal processing. It also has an optional 14-bit resolution digital-to-analog converter card that adds an 8-bit digital-to-analog converter for processor-based signal generation. AGILENT 54118A is easy to use and provides an integrated PC interface for programming and control of the AWG. It has an intuitive user interface for waveform creation and sequencing, as well as real-time debugging and waveform updates. For remote control of the AWG, a USB connection, GPIB and LAN/Ethernet ports are available. The included software suite provides a full-featured graphical program editor and command line interface. 54118A can be used for various analog and digital signal testing, surface analysis, data acquisition systems, and other signal generation applications. It has an optional high-grade cooling system for sustained performance in demanding applications. The AWG is designed for reliable operation in industrial and research/development environments.
