AGILENT / HP / HEWLETT-PACKARD / KEYSIGHT 81101A is a high speed performance Pulse and Pattern Generator designed for bit error rate (BER) testing and system verification of digital communication systems. It is a flexible and powerful test equipment with advanced fit-for-purpose capabilities. HP 81101A features 50 GHz maximum output frequency (with appropriate external amplifier device). It also has a user settable adaptable pulse width between 25 ps to 62.5 ms to fit specific application needs. The pulses can be set to varying amplitude levels from 40 mV to 2V into 50 Ohms. Additionally, a wide variety of pulse waveforms such as pulse trains, frequency deviation, frequency shift, linear chirp and gated signals can be generated. AGILENT 81101A also offers an optimal sequence generation scheme with up to 512K 32-bit words. Various fast tagging and phase modulation schemes are supported. The Generator has a 10 ns trigger jitter (rms) while the Clock/Phase jitter (as measured by 4.4-4.7 GHz, 98th percentile) is less than 60 fs. 81101A also has a 10 bit data-path for parallel operation of sequences for improved speed performance. KEYSIGHT 81101A also features an intuitive operating interface with its easy-to-use front-panel controls and high visibility color graphic LCD. The lines of graphical characters help to configure the test sequences without extra programming or instrumentation.
