This sophisticated test equipment features a wide instantaneous bandwidth range of 9 kHz to 6 GHz, making it suitable for a range of applications in both the commercial and industrial sector. It is equipped with digital IF filter technology, low harmonic distortion, and fast sweep speeds. HP 8596E has two separate receivers, a Standard IF and a High-Dynamic Range IF, both of which offer incredibly accurate measurements. The first offers a maximum input level of 50 MHz, while the second offers up to 9 kHz of range. The versatile digital IF filter allows measurement of harmonics, intermodulation distortion, phase-noise, and modulation accuracy. The unique design ensures greater accuracy than traditional filters and provides a dramatic improvement in phase noise measurements. This test equipment also boasts exceptional time-domain scan capability. Coupled with the internal DSP processor, AGILENT 8596E can scan up to 36 times faster than conventional sweep analyzers and can accurately measure low-level spectral components.
