HP 86106B features a two-channel optical sampling rate of up to 80 GS/s with a low-noise differential preamplifier for high-definition measurements. It is equipped with a 12.5GHz optical input bandwidth, an intuitive GUI, and a repeat-averaging function. The analyzer also has built-in dynamic range that can handle optical signals up to 55 dBm and has a built-in optical signal generator. Additionally, it supports a full range of bandwidths, sampling rates, trigger levels, marker frequency analysis, and time-domain windowing for capturing as well as low-noise high-speed analysis. AGILENT 86106B also allows users to either use signal generator and/or external optical signals for high-speed digital data capture. It also supports interfacing with either a PC or networked devices directly through the USB2.0 port. In terms of optical performance, HEWLETT-PACKARD 86106B offers an analysis capability to 160 Gb/s with both BER (bit error rate) and jitter measurements. It also has a calibration technique that ensures accuracy with variable repetition rates and optical-system variations.
