AGILENT / HP / HEWLETT-PACKARD / KEYSIGHT 8722D is a network analyzer, a type of electronic test equipment used for radio frequency (RF) measurements in research, development, production and installation. It is a high-performance vector network analyzer capable of measuring the most important RF parameters, such as gain, phase, noise, distortion and scattering parameters. HP 8722D uses a Dual-Path Module (DPM) to mix and route signals from the low-frequency ( <15 GHz ) port to the high frequency one ( >15 GHz). The path delay is balanced by using two quadrature-in-phase adapters and the return-loss is compensated via the automatic calbiration controller (ACC). The two-path device minimizes the error due to interference, which allows improved measurements. AGILENT 8722D has a wide variety of measurement modes, such as resonance, S-parameter, time domain, alignment and noise. Its dual receivers provide a high degree of accuracy (up to 0.003 dB resolution ) and provide a wide capture range with different sweep times. HEWLETT-PACKARD 8722D supports up to three frequency points per sweep and external trigger control for synchronizing the unit with other instruments. KEYSIGHT 8722D is flexible in its configuration and users can customize it to their specific needs. The ports are easily configured by selecting the modules, accessories and cabling needed, so that each port can be customized ( e.g. port 1 can be equipped for 15 GHz and port 2 for 13 GHz).
