HP Technologies AGILENT / HP / HEWLETT-PACKARD / KEYSIGHT 8902A distortion analyzer is a highly efficient electronic test equipment designed for automated audio and distortion measurements. This device utilizes a high-speed direct digital synthesis (DDS) synthesis technique to measure harmonic, intermodulation and all other types of distortion. By utilizing a direct digital synthesis technique, HP 8902A has become one of the most versatile electronic test equipment due to its strong performance and wide range of measurements available. AGILENT 8902A is designed with a frequency range of 0.1 Hz to 20 MHz in 1 Hz steps and distortion measurements up to 50 MHz. This makes it suitable for the measurement of both low and high-frequency harmonic and intermodulation distortions. The distortion analyzer has an excellent harmonic distortion accuracy of 0.01% at 1 kHz and better than 0.002% during 0.1-fc - 10-fc, as well as a low intermodulation distortion performance of 0.01%. HEWLETT-PACKARD 8902A has a powerful internal hardware accelerator for fast processing and enables it to deliver a high-resolution, high-accuracy distortion measurement result in the shortest time without additional hardware improvements. It has a large sample depth of 16M of half words and can complete 4,093 full-scale measurement points. The minimum resolution is 0.5 dB/Hz and the maximum resolution is 0.25 dB/Hz. Moreover, 8902A distortion analyzer can be used in multiple measurement modes, such as harmonic distortion measurements, linearity tests, frequency response measurements and so on. KEYSIGHT 8902A distortion analyzer also supports external reference synchronous measurement. When foreign signals are present, a precise accuracy of 0.1 % of the RMS plug-in accuracy is achievable, making use of this device. The external input level can be accurately adjusted between -130 dBm to +13 dBm to test the precise performance of external signals.
