AGILENT / HP / HEWLETT-PACKARD / KEYSIGHT E4418B is an electronic test equipment developed for tuning and alignment of different radio frequency (RF) communication systems. HP E4418B is a RF vector network analyzer (VNA) which includes options for vector voltmeter (VVM), scalar network analyzer (SNA) and microwave scalar network analyzer (MSNA). AGILENT E4418B's fully integrated two port modular design consists of two main components; a mainframe with a built-in 10MHz reference oscillator and a sampler unit which contains the two precision receiver ports. The two high dynamic range receiver ports offer sensitivity of -125dBm at 20GHz, low phase noise and wideband frequency response to 500MHz. KEYSIGHT E4418B's 10MHz reference oscillator has several features including wide frequency range of 5MHz to 50MHz, 10 dBm output level, phase jitter exceeding ultra tight UltraClock ++ requirements, frequency calibration stability and monitor out port. The built in monitor out port is replaced by a scalar port when SNA option is installed. The VVM,SNA, and MSNA options provide superior performance for the various measurement type as follows: VVM provides frequency and phase error sensitivity up to -60dBm; SNA supports multiple sweep types and frequency ranges from 10Mhz to 25GHz; MSNA covers the specific range of 1GHz to 50GHz with high accuracy. Additional features in HEWLETT-PACKARD E4418B include digital IF tracking filters, jumper installed trace offset, differential and single ended measurements, automatic calibration, digital modulation analysis and pulse analysis with interpolation. For automated linear tuning, a combination of scalar network analyzer and built-in synthesizer can be used.
