HP E4438C offers baseband ambient noise and conducted emissions measurements. It also provides signal measurements such as peak power, crest factor and occupied bandwidth measurements to determine precursor frequency ranges for spurious and harmonic emissions. This EMC analyzer comprises of three main components including a Mainframe, Signal Generator, and an Antenna. The Mainframe works in conjunction with the other components, enabling system operation and providing storage for measurements, instrument settings and alignment data. It also contains a network analyzer, spectrum analyzer and built-in color monitor to allow data display and analysis. The Signal Generator module provides a choice of either Fundamental or Harmonic signal generation that can be used with the mainframe receiver and the external antenna. The external antenna available with AGILENT E 4438C is the HFS-300-L Hemisfherical Near Field Scanner, which is used to perform EMC radiated tests. The scanner has a vast frequency range and provides up to 300-degrees of azimuth coverage and a standard 45-degree sector scan. It also supports semi-anechoic and reverberation testing, which helps in mitigating the effects of the test environment. KEYSIGHT E 4438C also offers advanced graphical tools and automation capabilities for EMC measurements, allowing for quick and easy evaluation.
