High performance level and signal-stimulating functions enable efficient testing and debugging of radio frequency components and systems. The instrument is equipped with an enhanced vertical amplifier with gain range from +35 dB to -135 dBm in 0.1dB steps. It also has a wide range of selectable frequency-frequency resolutions from 0.001Hz to 100KHz. An Extended Frequency Range (EFR) option enables measurement of signals from 0.45GHz to 3GHz with improved specifications. HP E4438C offers low noise and high stability levels. It provides industry-leading noise figure measurements with wide dynamic ranges up to 140dB. The digital synthesis of the local oscillator is highly accurate and stable, allowing it to maintain high measurement accuracy and repeatability over a wide frequency range. The instrument also features a wide range of signal-stimulating options, including noise measurements, phase and amplitude modulated signals, and direct digital-synthesized signals.
