AGILENT / HP / HEWLETT-PACKARD / KEYSIGHT E8257C is a microwave signal source designed to cover frequency ranges between 10 MHz and 44 GHz. This versatile piece of test equipment is suitable for a variety of applications such as Radar, Electronic Counter Measurement (ECM) systems, communication systems, radio astronomy, aeronautical systems, and wireless systems. HP E8257C is a highly linear microwave signal source, featuring unconditional stability over the entire frequency range. It features a noise floor level of -141 dBm at 1 GHz and wideband phase noise of -101 dBc/Hz at 1 GHz and 10 kHz offset. It also supports vector modulation at phase shift nodes, with a modulation bandwidth of 2.4 GHz and a goal orientation of less than 2 dB. AGILENT E 8257C offers frequency-agile operation, with fast step times and wide tuning ranges, while simultaneously controlling the power output and frequency and timing accuracy. Its synthesizer is capable of providing up to 20 dB of tuned output with a typical settling time of 40 µs and a tuning range of up to 40 GHz. It also features 1 kHz resolution for frequency-hopping applications. HEWLETT-PACKARD E 8257C is designed for maximum equipment configuration flexibility. It can be configured for pulse modulation, analog modulation, syntonization and wideband modulation. It can also be connected to sweep controllers such as the E8500 or the E8502 to form an advanced frequency-agile system for communication systems such as 802.11 and RC5 systems. KEYSIGHT E 8257C also supports digital tuning applications through an integrated interface, allowing it to be controlled from a PC or networked unit with ease. It also supports built-in support for LAN EtherCAT®, GPIB, and RS-232 interfaces. HEWLETT-PACKARD E8257C is designed to support machine integration with a fully contained source unit, plus a separately-purchased control unit, and it is compatible with a number of external signal tools. The source unit is housed in a single, all-metal chassis and occupies both space and power efficiently. It is a reliable and cost-effective solution for test systems in various fields, such as avionics, synthetic aperture radars, radio astronomy, communication and satellite systems.
