CHROMA ASFT 3260 is an electronic test equipment designed for automated testing of AC/DC servo motors and drives. It is an advanced and robust tool that provides precision testing and control for both short-term and long-term operation. ASFT 3260 utilizes a two-channel architecture for testing of AC, DC and AC/DC servo motors and drives, with balanced T-shaped connectors located in the rear and power circuitry located in the front. The power electronics include three full-bridge power devices, a DC/AC Transformer, a potential transformer, a current sensing amplifier and an AC filter. This power electronics setup allows the device to provide an excellent performance in terms of maximum current and voltage ratings. The maximum current rating of CHROMA ASFT 3260 is 40 amperes and its maximum voltage rating is 800 Vrms. ASFT 3260 offers a range of testing capabilities, which include: Motor Performance Testing in Torque, Speed and Current; Power Quality Testing; Performance & Efficiency Analysis; and Endurance & Reliability Testing. In addition, the device incorporates a cross-axis steady-state controller, which allows servo motors to be tested and compared under similar operating conditions. The device also features a set of 3D diagrams that can be used to build the complete model of a system for display and analysis for a given set of conditions. In terms of operation, CHROMA ASFT 3260 is equipped with a full graphical user interface that allows the user to easily program functions and generate reports. With its in-built programmable logic controller, the device is capable of carrying out complex operations such as looped set point control, synchronization of multiple motors, oscilloscope capabilities and many more. The high-end servo test bench also features a set of in-built protections and safety features that can be set accordingly to minimize the risk of short circuits or other malfunctions in the system.
