Lock-in amplifier.
EG&G / PRINCETON APPLIED RESEARCH 5209 is an electronic test equipment that is used for measuring and processing a wide range of physical phenomena in the areas of frequency, current, and voltage. It is designed to assist in the design, evaluation, and test of electronic circuits, systems, and components. This test equipmentproduces repeatable and accurate results with it's built in advanced signal processing capabilities. EG&G 5209 test equipment runs on a proprietary operating system and all the instrument settings, such as filter type, channel amplitude, range, sampling rate and other advanced parameters can be easily changed using the control panel. On the front panel, there is a high resolution LCD screen with push button controls and keys. It also has an intuitive graphical user interface that allows quick and easy navigation of the operations and settings. It features a bandwidth of up to 1 MHz and accuracy of up to 0.1 Hz. This is supported by two internal analog to digital converters (ADCs) which are dual-channel, 12-bit, 1 MSPS sampling rate. There are also multiple selectable filter types including Butterworth, Bessel and Chebyshev for signal processing. PRINCETON APPLIED RESEARCH 5209 can measure frequency, amplitude and phase of voltages and currents, allowing the measurement of both static and dynamic parameters. It is equipped with two independent current and two independent voltage channels with a single 4 MHz signal generator. 5209 also has programmable input and output signal functions, including conditions of multiplexed signals and signal phasing. Additionally, it has an analog and digital modulation facility with a signal selection option of AM, FM, PM and ASK. EG&G / PRINCETON APPLIED RESEARCH 5209 is equipped with automatic calibration and adjustment of the test instrument's components, the capability of archiving recorded data to an internal hard drive, and the analysis of signals using Fourier transforms. The instrument can simulate and test complex scenarios, such as frequency response, hysteresis, stability, and noise reduction. EG&G 5209 is a versatile, reliable, and effective instrument for test and measurement requirements. Its excellent signal processing capabilities and intuitive graphical user interface make it an ideal choice for both industrial and academic settings.
