HIOKI 9277 is a high-accuracy, multi-channel, battery resistance tester designed for testing electrical systems. It is capable of testing and measuring DC current, AC current, voltage, continuity, internal resistance and other parameters of batteries, electronic components, and machines. 9277 is powered by a 9V battery and can be connected to an external power source for extended testing. The device is equipped with an LCD display, two rotary switches, one push button, and two resistance test connectors, making it ultra-convenient to use. An optional Terminal Cabinet (TC) is also available to provide additional terminals options in order to facilitate testing of more complicated systems. HIOKI 9277 features two measuring modes in order to facilitate resistance tests on devices with small contact voltages and high contact resistances as well as higher electrical currents. The device can perform measurements with a resolution of 0.1mOhm and accuracy of 0.5% or ±2mOhm. Additionally, 9277 has an operating temperature range of 0°C to 40°C (32°F to 104°F). In terms of its measuring capabilities, HIOKI 9277 can measure DC current up to 10A, AC current up to 100A, and voltage up to 600V. The device is also suitable for for battery capacity testing, offering resistance measurement range of 0.05 mOhm to 1990Ohm, as well as rechargeable battery test intervals of 0.2, 0.8 and 1.0 Ohm. The device is also equipped with 25 equipotentialling test positions, making it ideal for testing car, bus and truck battery systems. 9277 also features a number of safety features designed to protect the user. These include an overvoltage protection circuit which will protect the device from voltage surges of up to 600VAC, as well as an overcurrent protection circuit which will protect the unit from current surges of up to 10A DC.
