IRD 885 is an electronic test equipment, designed to measure pulse amplitudes and frequencies of radar and microwave signals. This device is fully automated and enables the operation of field, bench, and rack-mounted systems. 885 features two modes of operation; automatic or manual. In Automatic Mode, it can detect, identify and demodulate pulse signals, measure pulse amplitudes, and calibrate and compare amplitudes between measurements. It can recognize pulse signals with a repetition rate between 0.1~20 kHz, and a timing resolution of 1 µs. In Manual Mode, the user can select the highest signal level for demodulation and measurement. Additionally, IRD 885 can half-amplitude detect signals as low as -60 dBm and display voltage, phase, and frequency. High performance crystal and SAW filters can be used to reduce measurement errors. The equipment is furnished with a VGA monitor for visualizing data. 885 has a maximum frequency of 8.5 gHz and a maximum span of 700 MHz. It includes a 3.5-inch floppy disc drive (DSDD). The maximum bandwidth and sample rate are 28 MHz and 1.6 MS/s. IRD 885 is highly reliable and exceptionally accurate. It has low noise and is immune to adverse weather conditions. Its wide dynamic range is suitable for most industrial environments. Its measurement capability can be extended with external variable attenuators and directional couplers. The unit features a built-in 10-position switching system for comparing pulse amplitude and frequency at simultaneously obtained measurements. It is equipped with a library of 15 calibration setup procedures, and a built-in support for a wide range of pulse waveforms. To ensure accurate measurements, 885 is equipped with 10 built-in amplitude linearizers and a calibration socket. Additionally, the unit has an ergonomic design for improved user experience. Overall, IRD 885 is an advanced electronic test equipment, designed to measure pulse amplitudes and frequencies of radar and microwave signals. With its superior performance, user-friendly design, and robust construction, this device is ideal for all industrial applications.
