KEITHLEY 195A is an all-in-one battery simulation test instrument for R&D and production testing of lithium ion, NiMH, and alkaline battery cells. It has dedicated mode in which 195A can be used for Automated Battery Test (ABT) applications. KEITHLEY 195A provides precise and repeatable charge and discharge testing in many different configurations, and is ideal for characterizing various battery packs as well as different types of battery cells. 195A will allow for charging of battery cells up to 6V with a precision of ±4mV. Setting charge voltage, charge current, discharge current, and voltage threshold as well as time are all configurable for a complete charge and discharge testing setup. Additionally, KEITHLEY 195A also features a maximum input current protection to further protect the battery from overcharging or over-discharging. For precise current measurements, 195A's current measurement range is 0.13mA to 3A, with a combined accuracy of ±4mA. Maximum power dissipation is 40W, with temperatures up to between 0°C-60°C. KEITHLEY 195A also features 4-wire Kelvin accuracy measurement, for measurement of Maximum Voltage and Internal Impedance measurements. 195A is powered with a built-in switching power supply, allowing for both 110V and 230V AC power input. It also incorporates a 20-character graphical LCD for displaying information related to the charging/discharging process, as well as a beeper for alerting the user of any errors. The display has a backlight for improved visibility in dimly lit environments. To further extend KEITHLEY 195A's capabilities and flexibility, it is able to be connected to an external PC or notebook computer via USB port. This allows for communication with the Instrument Control Software (ICS). By utilising ICS it is possible to control 195A, track data, and analyse results from anywhere. Overall, KEITHLEY 195A is an ideal tool for research and development of batteries. With its flexibility, accuracy, and multiple charging/discharging capabilities, it offers a comprehensive test platform for characterizing any type of battery.
