KEITHLEY 6485 is an electronic picoammeter designed for precision current measurements over a wide dynamic range. This device offers a measuring range of pA to mA with a resolution of 10fA and basic accuracy of up to 0.12%. It operates via direct current (DC) inputs and connections to lower-level sensing amplifiers or signal sources. It also features a highly sensitive input current range that can be programmed from 10 pA to 20 mA. 6485 is provided with an integrated display and can be operated from several different front panel control menus. KEITHLEY 6485 has low thermal and offset drift that ensures high accuracy and stability over wide temperature ranges. It also provides over-voltage protection for added safety. The device comes with a variety of operating modes including voltage compliance testing and the automated sampling of single/multiple readings. A rear panel trigger input allows synchronizing 6485 with other instruments such as oscilloscopes and digital multimeters. KEITHLEY 6485 features an ultra-low input bias current that considerably reduces the total system error. With the built-in low-frequency (LF) rejection technology, the device eliminates unwanted noise signals from LF sources, such as power lines and 50Hz/60Hz ac adapters. Additionally, the instrument includes a high level of isolation, with up to ±4000 Vrms of isolation between the low-level sensing input and device I/O ports as well as the device and system grounds. 6485 is provided with a variety of software packages such as KEITHLEY Data Acquisition Worksheet for Windows and KView software. These enable the user to easily display readings and trigger the data acquisition process. KEITHLEY 6485 also includes GPIB and RS-232 communication support, and is compatible with LabVIEW and VEE Pro programming environments. 6485 provides a range of features and functionality making it an ideal solution for a wide range of applications, such as measuring currents in medical and rf equipment, research laboratories and industrial test systems. It also offers excellent performance and accuracy for industrial uses including electrical component testing, photovoltaic cell characterization and semiconductor component power measurement.
