Current Calibrator.
KROHN-HITE EDC-521 is a digital signal generator designed for use in testing, verification, and production applications. EDC-521 is a single-channel instrument that produces and measures signals up to 12MHz with 12 bits of resolution with low harmonic distortion and flat frequency response. KROHN-HITE EDC-521 can mimic any periodic waveform, including sine, square, triangle, and sawtooth shapes, with variable DC offset and variable frequency. The unit offers all of the standard waveform parameters such as frequency, amplitude, DC offset, and symmetry. It also includes a sweep feature which can be programmed for linear, exponential, or logarithmic sweeps with variable time constants. This feature is useful for testing the frequency response of amplifiers or other electronic components. EDC-521 offers a built-in dual-channel oscilloscope for signal monitoring. This feature helps to troubleshoot and verify the parameters of the signals being generated by KROHN-HITE EDC-521. The oscilloscope channel can be used to view and measure the generated signal's amplitude, frequency, and waveform shape. An auxiliary input is available for connecting an external signal to the oscilloscope. To prevent errors, EDC-521 includes a low frequency filter which eliminates frequencies down to 1/30th of KROHN-HITE EDC-521's full-scale frequency to reduce interference from external signals. An amplifier is also included to provide adjustable output levels up to 10 Volts peak-to-peak. EDC-521 is built with a durable plastic body and includes a variety of safety features such as an overvoltage protection circuit and reverse polarity protection. The instrument also includes input jacks for power, signal input, and direct digital output for external storage. Finally, KROHN-HITE EDC-521 includes convenient framework for building test systems. The unit includes built-in connectors for Power, Signal Output, Signal Input, and Direct Digital Output. This allows test systems to be quickly constructed without the need for additional cabling. Additionally, programming and controlling EDC-521 can be done either through USB, GPIB, or RS-232 interfaces.
