With sequencing and synchronization, it can multiplex outputs from multiple waveform generators and control the waveforms they output. It has a four-line command interface, allowing waveforms of any shape or size with up to 2.56 kHz resolution to be created, allowing the waveform generator signals to be precisely controlled. PSPL 5550B-104 also has advanced timing capabilities, enabling high-precision waveform correlation, and timing data for tasks such as algorithms in design and system development. Furthermore, due to its large waveform memory (128,000 words), PICOSECOND PULSE LABS 5550B-104 can store waveforms from external waveform generators as well as those created directly through its own signals. 5550B-104 also features an 8 bit ADC memory depth, allowing able to store waveforms up to four times faster than comparable products. It features a variety of measurements and capture functions, such as rise/fall times, circuit delays and time interval errors, which allow for precision characterization of complex waveforms, making it an ideal device for use in a range of applications.
