CMW 500 is a one-box instrument with a hardware architecture that comprises a base unit, user interface, various internal SubModules as well as Test System Software. The main base unit houses a comprehensive set of software-defined functionalities, including signal generation, two-port vector network analysis, error vector magnitude (EVM) measurements, frequency-domain measurements, receiver sensitivity and adjacent channel power ratio (ACPR) measurements, and transmitter spurious emission measurements. The instrument's built-in user interface offers exceptional flexibility for control and data display. The hardware design includes a large user-friendly touchscreen display with intuitive graphical user interface. In addition, the instrument provides an external computer interface for remote operations, configuration, and data acquisition. ROHDE & SCHWARZ CMW 500 is an ideal tool for the development, characterization and validation of wireless communication designs for both mobile and base stations. It supports a wide variety of radio standards, from GSM and W-CDMA to LTE, LTE-Advanced, WiMAX and WLAN 802.11a/b/g/n/ac. The instrument also features robust measurements of power and EVM and spectrum mask tests as well as an embedded signal analyzer with a range of 30 MHz to 6 GHz.
