ROHDE & SCHWARZ CMW 500 is an electronic test equipment for wireless connectivity and communications. It is an ideal solution for design verification, development and production test needs of wireless networks such as cellular, WLAN and Bluetooth. CMW 500 is an all-in-one design that is composed of a wideband transceiver, signal generator, baseband and protocol analyzer, and a spectrum analyzer. The transceiver has a real-time, up to 800 MHz of operation bandwidth which is advantageous for LTE FDD and LTE TDD applications. Moreover, it has a highly efficient WCDMA baseband, with up to 16 receivers, each with up to 5 MHz of operation bandwidth with low residual carrier power and high signal levels. Additionally, it supports two demodulations on each of the two signal channels in NxM MIMO applications. The signal generator of ROHDE & SCHWARZ CMW 500 features up to 20 MHz of instantaneous bandwidth, wide signal level range (from -150 dBm to +30 dBm) and vector signal generation from vector signal files as well as arbitrary waveform generators. It also has a wide selection of modulation schemes for wireless connectivity testing and wireless signal prototyping. The baseband and protocol analyzer components support up to five carriers that may be used for LTE or WCDMA signals and interaction with UE. The baseband and protocol analyzer are designed to perform error vector magnitude testing and troubleshooting, as well as other extended functionality such as tracking and acoustic emission testing. The built-in vector signal analyzer is an excellent tool for measuring frequency response, signal-to-noise ratio, dynamic range and other quality of service measurements. The analyzer has a very wide range of measurement capabilities, and includes many unique functions such as a fading channel measurement capability. Furthermore, CMW 500 has excellent PC connectivity so it can be controlled with a dedicated software solution. It also supports network locations, enabling users to easily connect the device to their test bench. In addition, ROHDE & SCHWARZ CMW 500 has built-in safety listings, so it meets all safety requirements of the industry. Overall, CMW 500 is an impressive, all-in-one design that provides a wide range of features and capabilities for wireless connectivity and communications testing.
