It also supports measurements for newer technologies including LTE-A, LTE-Advanced Pro and 5G. It is equipped with an impressive range of I/Os, including an internal "Smart Studio" software, that makes configuring and controlling the instrument easy and intuitive. ROHDE & SCHWARZ CMW 500 supports a wide range of measurements, including voice quality, RF spectrum analysis, channel quality, modulation accuracy, error vector magnitude, transmit coverage and call processing tests. It also supports user-created scripts and applications, allowing for automated repeatability of tests. It offers a multi-touch 14" LCD display for graphical representation of data and allows for remote control of the measurement machine. CMW 500 is built with a modern architecture for high performance while using minimal energy. It employs a high-speed internal vector processor for quickly performing complex signal processing tasks, such as baseband measurements and generation of radio channels with automated fading, path loss and Doppler effects. It also features a high-performance 40 GB/s ADC (analog-to-digital converter) and digital signal processing engine capable of recording up to 64 MHz of bandwidth per channel. ROHDE & SCHWARZ CMW 500 is also available as a compact source and analyzer model, with an integrated signal generator, built in antenna ports, interfaces and couplers for performing real-time measurements.
