ROHDE & SCHWARZ SMIQ03B is a high-performance signal generator developed for use in general laboratory, engineering, automated test, research, education, and production applications. ROHDE & SCHWARZ SMIQ-03B features low-distortion single-tone generation up to 3 GHz, broadband pulse train generation up to 1.8 GHz, and frequency coverage from 30 kHz to 3 GHz. With its exceptional spectral purity, wide output power range, and advanced modulating and pulse features, SMIQ 03 B is ideal for performing a variety of RF test tasks with ease and accuracy. SMIQ03B's wide frequency range of 30 kHz to 3 GHz allows it to generate test tones from DC to 1.8 GHz, and broadband pulse trains up to 1.8 GHz. At low output powers, the signal generator offers extremely low phase noise performance, with exceptionally low spurious emission levels. Phase noise performance is further improved over the entire output power range by means of the patented "Phase Noise Reduction" (PNR) technology. As a result, it is capable of generating signals with very low distortion levels, even at higher output powers. In addition, ROHDE & SCHWARZ SMIQ 03 B provides a wide range of modulation options including Pulse Modulation (PM), Frequency Modulation (FM), Phase Modulation (PM), Amplitude Modulation (AM), and Frequency Hopping (FH). By allowing modulation of all output parameters, including pulse width, duty cycle, rise/fall times, and other generation settings, the signal generator can generate complex waveforms with high accuracy and sense of control. Moreover, the user can store up to 16 different waveforms or settings in non-volatile memory, enabling fast changeover of test parameters and conditions. SMIQ-03B also offers a range of triggering and synchronization capabilities, allowing it to be used in synchronous and asynchronous testing scenarios. It features auto and internal triggering, external triggering, and time gate options, enabling easy integration with electronic test setups. In addition, synchronization of ROHDE & SCHWARZ SMIQ03B with a signal analyzer or other test equipment can be easily accomplished using a convenient VCO output and frequency adjustment. ROHDE & SCHWARZ SMIQ-03B is also equipped with an intuitive user interface and a variety of display and control options. The user can navigate menus via simple buttons or the touch screen display, enabling efficient and easy control of the signal generator.
