Dual-phase lock-in amplifiers.
STANFORD RESEARCH SYSTEMS / SRS SR830 Lock-In Amplifier is an electronic test and measurement instrument designed for signal detection and analysis. This lock-in amplifier can be used to detect and analyze signals with frequencies that are low compared to the background noise with high precision. SRS SR830 Lock-In Amplifier is based on signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) detection. This allows the detection of very low-amplitude signals in the presence of a high-level noise. The instrument's sensitivity is increased by using a low-noise amplifier, a reference oscillator, and synchronization. STANFORD RESEARCH SYSTEMS SR830 has two independent input channels designated as A and B. Both are designed to accommodate signals ranging from 0.2 uV to 10 Vrms, with an input impedance capability of > 10^13 Ohms. Each channel also features an AC or DC coupling option. The user can choose to enable or disable power line rejection on either or both channels. For signal analysis, SR830 provides a variety of digital and analog outputs for displaying and recording the results of the measurement. For digital outputs, STANFORD RESEARCH SYSTEMS / SRS SR830 has GPI and GPO that can be used to interface with external devices. It also has analog outputs including X, Y, and R outputs for displaying signals in a polar plot; R and amplifier outputs for displaying signals in a dBm gain/attenuation plot; and a 10-90 Hz Vout output for providing a direct measure of X or Y. SRS SR830 also has advanced features such as phase and frequency measurement, auto- balancing, and auto-correlation, not to mention an intuitive, user-friendly interface. The instrument has two built-in automatic gain control systems that can reduce the amount of signal clipping which can otherwise occur in some contexts. For applications that require a high degree of precision, STANFORD RESEARCH SYSTEMS SR830 has a time constant adjustment range from 0.01ms to 300s. With this range, users can maximize the system's performance in almost any signal environment. SR830 is an extremely versatile and reliable instrument that can meet even the most exacting standards in signal detection and analysis. Its high-performance features and components, combined with its user-friendly interface, makes it the perfect tool for any laboratory.
