WAVETEK 395 is a general-purpose electronic test equipment developed by WAVETEK for the measurement of digital signals. It is capable of providing outputs for RS232, GPIB, and other common digital signal types. 395 test instrument is powered by a 120 VAC input that can provide up to 10VA of power for measurement and control purposes. Additionally, the instrument has a 12 VDC input for powering measurements and process control circuitry. The instrument includes a built-in LCD display and keypad that allow the user to easily enter, edit, and configure test set-ups, as well as to monitor results and status. WAVETEK 395 can be used to measure a wide range of digital signals such as digital logic waveforms, AC waveforms, and frequency response. Its timing and relative accuracy of measurements are specified up to 200 MHz. It offers the user a bandwidth of 50/200kHz at the input and 200kHz at the output. 395 is equipped with 24-bit A/D/A converters which can offer high sample rate analog signals. It has a fully programmable hardware/software environment with DOS compatible commands for the loading, creating, controlling, and storing of the measurement configuration. It also includes a set of alternative measurement modes, such as digital word count, clock count, pattern comparator and pulse width measurement. WAVETEK 395 also provides the option to establish an alarm limit that will activate the built-in relay if a limit is exceeded. This is particularly useful for manual control applications such as temperature or pressure monitoring. The instrument also includes a built-in printer port for printing out the results of the tests and the configuration settings. In addition, the instrument is also capable of being connected to a computer for data acquisition, analysis, and report generation. 395 is an ideal test instrument for applications that require a detail understanding of proprietary digital protocols. Its wide range of measurement capabilities and features make this instrument an ideal choice for a variety of test applications, from engineering laboratories to production lines.
