GAERTNER L115S is an advanced ellipsometer used for measuring the properties of complex nanostructures with a high degree of precision. The device utilises light interference measurements with a rotating polariser and analyser to derive the properties of a sample. L115S can be used in a range of applications involving research in nanostructures, thin films, electrolytes, substrate materials, and more. GAERTNER L115S is based on a modular construction, and can detect optical properties such as film thickness, refractive indices, optical constants, and the surface and bulk material properties of various samples. The L 115S features an integrated sample movement mechanism and a polariser angle ranging from 0 to 180 degrees. The machine has two detectors to enable a precise, two wavelength measurement and features 0.001 degree accuracy and resolution as well as a 10 ppm temperature stability. The machine is designed with a simple user interface, providing an intuitive interface to allow both experienced and first-time users to access the data easily. A powerful software system allows for total control of the device and the possibility to store up to 500 measured results for analysis. The machine is equipped with 200 and 633 nm laser diodes for reliable measurement and performance. The integrated detectors enable use of a full scattering angle range of 0-180°, ensuring best possible measurements for most types of samples. The machine is self-calibrating and provides a dynamic range from 5-500 Å, allowing for best possible detection in most samples. Due to its closed loop design and high accuracy, L115S provides excellent measurement precision and repeatability of data. The device is intuitive and user friendly and can be used in laboratories requiring accurate results in a wide range of applications, such as semiconductor fabrication, photovoltaics and optics. The L 115S is an ideal choice for research and materials science applications due to its versatility, accuracy and reliability.
