The chamber offers temperature, relative humidity, and/or altitude control in a wide range of operation conditions. The interior of the chamber is constructed of fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) which provides corrosion resistance and low UV absorption. It is designed as a "cool box" to reduce heat distribution in the chamber and prevent overheating. The chamber measures 880mm (35in.) wide x 880mm (35in.) long x 2030mm (80in.) high and holds up to 5.93 cubic feet of volume. The temperature range of 5317 is -45C to +140C and is accurate within ±0.5C when using the digital control system. Additionally, the relative humidity range is 0-100% (±2%). To achieve the desired, predetermined environmental testing conditions, the unit features an electric back-up heater, three-speed fan blower, adjustable timer, and built-in humidity source. The exterior of the chamber is constructed of a robust steel frame to facilitate stable, even cooling throughout the chamber.
