ESPEC PLA-3AP is an environmental chamber designed and manufactured by ESPEC. It provides a stable, repeatable and reliable test environment for various applications from thermal shock to humidity testing. The chamber has a three-layer construction with a capacity for up to 1m3 internally and two or three heating & cooling compressors. It features an integrated microprocessor control system with PID and PC-linked RS-232C communications. The chambers come with a standard temperature operating range of -80° to +225°C and humidity range of 10-90% RH. It provides a heating rate of 1°C to 4°C/min and a cooling rate of 1°C to 8°C/min. PLA-3AP also features an integrated light meter, which enables UV radiation testing. It also has an optional liquid nitrogen cooling system for temperatures below -77°C to -135°C and an optional additional cooling evaporator for temperatures up to -40°C. The touch-screen display unit with 40 character LCD and multiple languages including English, Japanese and Chinese allows simple and easy operation. The chamber's construction includes stainless steel lined interior walls and sealed reinforced thermal and pressure seal doors to ensure excellent thermal protection and temperature uniformity throughout the chamber. It has a built-in filtration system, which brings in pre-filtered clean dry air, eliminating the need for additional filters, and ensures dust free environment. ESPEC PLA-3AP supports a variety of accessories and options including low/no Ozone Atmosphere Chambers, vacuum/gas tight type, hot/cold wells (up to ±11°C), external heaters, heated shelves and different size sample trays. All of these features provide a comprehensive solution for environmental test needs. For optimal performance, the chamber should be located away from areas of direct sunlight, heat, and moisture. Also, the temperature should be monitored from inside the chamber and the outside ambient temperature should remain below +25°C for maximum efficiency. It is also important to regularly maintain the unit for its proper functioning and longer lifespan.
