THERMOTRON SM-16-8200 is an environmental chamber designed to replicate a wide range of temperatures and humidity for testing and monitoring of components and systems. It features an electrolytic (solid-state) heater assembly for precise temperature and humidity control, an auxiliary electron air system to remove heat at high levels, and two panel-mounted thermocouple input points to monitor temperature during testing. The unit also has three solid-state temperature controllers, a temperature and humidity indicator, and a digital transducer, as well as a cold trap and a hot dump valve designed to minimize condensation. The outer casing of the unit is made of steel, and it sits atop a welded steel base. It features two doors, one on the top and the other on the side; both have removable gaskets for airtight sealing. The top door is a ventilated design, where an internal heater and fan assembly distributes cool and hot air. The inside of the chamber is made of heavy-duty, four-ply Phenolic resin, designed to maximize insulation while reducing thermal gradients. SM-16-8200 has a temperature range of -70°F to +150°F (-57°C to +65°C) for a wide range of tests. The temperature variance can be adjusted in increments as small as 0.1°F/0.06°C and is accurate to 0.37°F/0.2°C. The unit also provides a humidity range of 20% to 98% RH, both controlled and maintained to within ±3%RH. For even greater accuracy, an optional RH transducer capability is available. This THERMOTRON chamber is built for durability and reliability, and comes with a one-year warranty. Its design, construction, insulation, and control features make it suitable for testing and conditioning components and systems in a wide variety of industries. By providing precise environmental control, it ensures products are tested to their optimal limit.
