EDWARDS / TEMESCAL VES-2550 is a high efficiency evaporator designed to provide efficient evaporation for many industrial applications. This evaporator is capable of recovering large amounts of condensate and can provide a low level of air pollution emissions. This evaporator is especially suited for processes that require a large amount of heat recovery, such as thermal desalination systems or petroleum refining. EDWARDS VES-2550 is a horizontal, two-stage evaporator equipped with a reflux condenser and a liquid-solvent evaporator. It is capable of heating, condensing and evaporating any liquid or gas. The evaporator functions by first passing a high temperature liquid (typically water) through the evaporator. The liquid is heated and expands, producing an increased pressure. The liquid is then condensed back to a liquid at the condenser and then collected. The second stage of this process involves passing the liquid through the evaporator and evaporating it off into a vapor. The main advantages of this evaporator over conventional evaporators is its higher efficiency and superior production rates. The efficiency of TEMESCAL VES-2550 is approximately 60%, while conventional evaporators can only achieve efficiencies of up to 40%. It also has a relatively low air pollution emission rate, and runs much more economically than conventional evaporators. VES-2550 is manufactured with a stainless steel heat exchanger, capable of operating temperatures up to 650 degrees Celsius. The evaporator also comes equipped with a safety control panel to monitor and control the temperature of the liquid passing through the evaporator. The evaporator can also be designed and configured for systems with high steam requirements.
