LTX-CREDENCE Quartet is a final test equipment designed to validate designs and development processes in order to ensure a product or system satisfies customer requirements. It consists of four integrated platforms that have been designed to assess electrical, mechanical, software, and overall unit performance. The electrical subsystem is designed to test the electrical characteristics of components such as signal integrity, voltage, current, isolation, and crosstalk. A wide variety of analog and mixed signal measurements may be made using the electrical subsystem, such as power loss, resistive mechanisms, and noise considerations. Various temperature, humidity, and other environmental conditions may also be simulated. The mechanical subsystem tests the durability and reliability of components under mechanical stress. It is equipped with multiple tools such as a vibration table, shock towers, and fatigue tests that can simulate the environment a product may be subjected to in the real world. It is also equipped with an X-ray machine to evaluate internal components. The software subsystem is used to test the communication and data integrity of embedded devices and networks. It can simulate both the physical and logical layers of a tool, simulate real-world user conditions, as well as desktop and mobile device environments. The electronics and software subsystems are integrated with a powerful automation platform known as the Asset Designer, which allows users to create automated test-suites capable of evaluating complex systems. This platform allows model architects to quickly create, execute, and debug automated test-suites that can be used to validate designs and meet customer specifications. The Equipment Designer provides reports of analysis and feedback to the user in order to validate designs and development processes. It is also equipped with a library of billions of possible system configurations, which are dynamically expanded through the use of real-time data acquired from its four component subsystems. Using this dynamic library allows the Unit Designer to develop an optimum test environment that can be used to ensure the performance and quality of a design. Overall, Quartet is a powerful testing machine designed to validate electrical, mechanical, software, and tool performance. It is highly adaptable to a wide variety of testing needs, and its automated platform, the Asset Designer, ensures user interface flexibility as well as quick response times for developing and testing procedures. The use of this model ensures that products or systems are reliable and meet customer requirements.
